Ventriloquist dummy with painted adult male features, brown eyes, captivating expression, carrot red moulded hair and a mouth moved by pulling on a cord that comes out the back of the puppet. Composition hands and feet, moulded shoes, simple body of partially stuffed fabric, green and grey felt suit with trousers and jacket, clearly visible on the pocket is a label embroidered in red thread with the wording “Paul Winchell’s Jerry Mahoney”. This also is still in its original cardboard box with a red stamp on its sides: “Paul Winchell’s famous Jerry Mahoney manufactured by Juro Novelty Co. New York 3 N.Y.”. Paul Winchell (1922-2005) was an actor and showman famous in America both in movie and television. It was precisely on The Paul Winchell Show that this dummy became famous thanks to Winchell’s ventriloquist act, performing funny skits and subtle satire.
