DB Cargo 66207 4E20 Haughley Level Crossing 13.8.2024 DB Cargo diesel locomotive no 66207 passes over the level crossing and through the site of the former station at Haughley in Suffolk on Tuesday 13.8.2024. The locomotive was shining in the summer sun following a recent repaint into DB Cargo red livery. The train it is hauling is a freight train with containers, to the port of Felixstowe from Wakefield Europort in Yorkshire. The train left Wakefield at 09.56 and arrived in Felixstowe north at 16.14 hrs. It was running under headcode or train reporting no 4L45. The station here was closed in 1967 with the only bit remaining is the white building that is now used as offices by Manning and Wood, general builders who also use part of the station area as a storage yard. Just beyond the station is Haughley junction where the line from Bury St Edmunds and Peterborough and the Midlands joins the main line from Norwich to London Liverpool Street which the train has just joined. 13.8.2024 Image Cw 8828 copyright Colin Wareing of Colin and Carole’s Creations Cw 8828 Colin Wareing www.colinandcarolescreations.co.uk E-mail colinandcarolescreations@yahoo.co.uk Phone no 07931 356204 And www.thewoolboat.co.uk
