The novel corona virus (nCoV) was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei, China. Corona viruses are zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted between animals and people, but is primarily transmitted by human to human transmission via respiratory droplets such as coughing, sneezing or exhaling, with an incubation period of about 2-14 days. Symptons include fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing diffficulties. Severe complications may include acute respiratory diseases, kidney failure pneumonia and even death. Recommended preventative measures include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing, and thoroughly cooking meat and eggs.
