Marta Samalova (right), member of Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM), with other several people protest against historical facts mentioned on new plaques of restored memorial to Soviet Marshal Konev describing his life and work, in Prague, Czech Republic, on August 21, 2018, day of the 50th anniversary of Warsaw Pact invasion in August 1968 to Czechoslovakia. At the end of World War Two in May 1945, Konev (1897-1973) helped liberate Prague. There have been controversies over the statue due to Konev's participation in the suppression of the Hungarian uprising against the Communist regime in 1956 and the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961.
