. An identifiable period record of the recorded location in 2022, retaining the practical detail and local context that distinguish a documentary photograph from a generic illustration. The defining feature is Key in a door, property rental or sale, private on a mortgage or social housing, on a keyring. The setting additionally reflects changing streetscape, place identity, waterside public realm, waterside leisure, navigation corridor, public realm, canal heritage, urban waterway, period detail, river transport, blue-green infrastructure, regional identity, working waterway, and inland navigation. The wider contemporary story combines climate adaptation, flood resilience and the role of passenger boats in broadening urban transport choices. Future viewers can use this scene from the recorded location to compare street furniture and boundaries with whatever follows after replacement signage. Other useful contextual ideas include local history, local character, everyday life, documentary photography, archival record, riverfront regeneration, historical comparison, and before-and-after reference. Elements such as housing, social, rental, property, and mortgage add documentary specificity and may become increasingly useful when compared with later records. The period setting at the recorded location helps place the main subject within real social and physical surroundings rather than isolating it as an abstract object. The image also provides a reference for climate adaptation and how waterfronts are increasingly used as public spaces and regeneration anchors without losing the local specificity of the recorded location. Another useful connection is river transport and the growing value of rivers and canals as transport, leisure and environmental corridors in a form that can be compared with future views of the recorded location. The image fixes details of everyday use as a date-specific reference.
