A night lit view of the shelley fountain sculpture a water fountain once installed in 1996 in the town centre of Horsham West Sussex UK. It has since been removed due to wear and tear high maintenace costs and unpopular by some. Designed by Angela Conner in 1992 to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley born near horsham. Called the rising universe fountain the large kenetic water sculpture had a large centre globe mounted on a pillar descending slowly as water was pumped in from below and at the bottom would release 6.5 tons of water into a concrete bowl then rise again. Four small globs were below floating on water and turning. The fountain was later removed in June 2016. The globes resembles lady parts and water breaking.
