The Swedish 1212 Y7 railcar was built for Swedish State Railways in 1958, 1212 was moved to the UK and into preservation in 1984 at the Nene Valley Railway, very appropriate as the line was building up a collection of continental rolling stock and was widely regarded as the premier site in the UK for operational oversees rolling stock, so the Swedish Railcar was at home with other non-British stock. The Y7 was a development of the Y6 railcar. The Y7 has fewer and taller seats than the Y6, with four-abreast seating and 47 seats in total. The Nene Valley Railway (NVR) is a preserved railway in Cambridgeshire, England, running between Peterborough Nene Valley and Yarwell Junction. The line is 7 1⁄2 miles (12.1 km) in length. There are stations at each terminus, and three stops en route: Orton Mere, Ferry Meadows and Wansford.
