Sixt has installed a life-sized replica of a Mercedes Benz and 4 3D puppets as part of a new marketing campaign in Manchester. The Mission Impossible-influenced installation targets the 11m passengers who go through Terminal One every year, with the tagline: “It’s a deal. It’s a steal.” Spanning 42 metres and almost 5 metres high, the permanent advertising display took 5 nights to hang from the airport’s rotunda. The car itself is a 162kg aluminium replica, with 3D printed wheels. Per Vögerl, Managing Director of SIXT UK: “We chose Manchester for our latest permanent installation because it’s a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.” “At SIXT we stand for creative and exceptional airport advertising. We try to stick in people’s minds by advertising at extraordinary locations at airports, ” said Per Vögerl, Managing Director of SIXT UK. “We chose Manchester for our latest permanent installation because it’s a vibrant and cosmopolitan city which is full of cultural, social and economic potential.” The idea for the display came from its lead creative agency Jung von Matt/SPREE.
