Wide-Angle view of Frobisher Crescent, Barbican Estate, City of London. The most exciting new development at the Barbican since ... well, since the Barbican. For nearly 30 years, Frobisher Crescent has been moth-balled. Literally. The City took all the fittings, kitchens and bathrooms for the flats and put them in storage. Poor old Frobisher Crescent. It was meant to be so grand, with its own Sculpture Court no less. I mean to say, some developments have gardens, some have fountains, but a sculpture court? Anyway, for some reason, back in the 70s the City lost its nerve, and instead of finishing the flats, it turned Frobisher Crescent into some kind of anonymous business school. It was the great 'might have been' of the Barbican estate. But now, at last, Frobisher Crescent is finally going to be born as the fabulous block of flats it always should have been, thanks to The United House Group, and their residential division, Modern City Living. It is all going to happen in the next few months, and you have a chance to snap up possibly the most desirable flats in the whole estate (which by definition means vastly more desirable than anything else in the City and Clerkenwell area).
