Prominent prisoners from radio and politics in the concentration camp Oranienburg, 1933. The radio was the target of one of the first great 'cleansing' actions of the new rulers, who wanted to make this propaganda completely to the service of their own political goals. Under the pretext of passive bribery, some prominent radio managers were brought to the concentration camp Oranienburg in order to intimidate all the others. The photo shows the newly arrested during a roll call in the concentration camp Oranienburg before the front of other assembled prisoners. From left to right: Ernst Heilmann, SPD leader in the Prussian parliament, Fritz Ebert, son of the president of the Reich, Alfred Braun, a very popular radio reporter, Undersecretary Giesecke from the Radio administration, Dr. Flesch, director of the radio hour (Funkstunde), and the radio director Magnus., 10.08.1933-31.03.2003
